Cairngorm

The Cairngorm Collection is inspired by the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands in winter. Crafted from predominantly black stoneware with accents of white, these pieces reflect the dramatic contrast of snow-dusted peaks against dark, moody skies.

There's a particular kind of excitement in the first thaw, when the snow that's blanketed the hills for months starts to give way, patch by patch, to the land beneath. The Cairngorm Collection captures that exact moment: a crawl glaze breaks and fractures across black stoneware, mimicking snow beginning to melt and scatter across dark ground.

Each piece in this handmade stoneware collection is wheel-thrown in my Highland studio, finished in a striking mix of matte black, gloss white and tactile textures. Made in small batches, the Cairngorm range includes mugs, vases, and candle holders, each one designed to celebrate Scotland’s breathtaking winter scenery.
