Birch

Birch has always been one of my favourite trees, its stunning white bark catching my eye wherever I see it, whether against dark forest or open hillside. There's something quietly striking about it, understated but always noticeable. The Birch Collection is built around that same quality: a soft, tactile matte glaze broken by raw, unglazed clay that rises up in overlapping shapes, echoing the layered trunks and branches you see looking into a birch wood.

Handmade and wheel-thrown in small batches in my Highland studio, the Birch range includes mugs and tumblers, each piece designed to bring the quiet beauty of Scotland's birch woodland into everyday, functional pottery.
